Even though today I only have the last walls of the prismatic tower left, I had an important role in the past. I was called an “announcer” because I served as a guardian of Central Slovak mining towns during Turkish oppression.
The nearby Breznica Castle was also integrated into the guard and signalling system against the invasion of the conquering Turks.
How do you get there?
The best access to the Luchtov Watchtower is from Luchtov, part of the village of Tekovská Breznica, from which it is about 1 km south.
